Founded by award-winning hairdresser and educator Paloma Rose Garcia, PALOMA is home to a passionate team of highly skilled hairdressers who value creativity, education, teamwork and genuine care for our guests.
As a 2nd Year Apprentice, you’ll continue developing your craft with the support of our experienced team, taking on more hands-on work as your skills progress. Your role will include:
- Welcoming guests and providing warm, attentive service
- Assisting our Colourists and Stylists with guest services
- Shampooing, applying treatments and performing relaxing head massages
- Blow-drying and styling guests, with a focus on consistency and finish
- Applying colour, toners and foils under the guidance of our Colourists
- Developing your cutting techniques through structured in-salon training
- Participating in ongoing education alongside your Certificate III studies
- Keeping the salon clean, organised and beautifully presented throughout the day
- Supporting the wider team in our busy salon environment
We’re looking for someone who has completed their first year of apprenticeship training and is eager to keep learning and growing. You’ll ideally have:
- Completed first year of your apprenticeship (or equivalent salon experience)
- Confidence with shampooing, treatments and basic blow-drying
- A positive, friendly and confident manner with guests
- A strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Reliability, punctuality and a polished presentation
- A great team-player attitude
- Comfort working in a busy, fast-paced environment
