- Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects within the energy industry.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary project information.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering options.
- Prepare and present estimation reports to support decision-making processes.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of costs for materials, labour, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations during the estimation process.
- Support the project team during bid negotiations and contract finalisations.
- Help the organisation to grow, coach and mentor other estimators across multiple disciplines

A successful Electrical Estimation Manager should have
- A strong background in electrical estimation within the energy industry, in particular a proven successful record in the Transmission substation and renewable energy markets within Australia.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and project specifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis and budgeting for large-scale projects.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for estimation and project management.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to ensure accuracy in all estimations.
- Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring capabilities for the growth of the division.
