HC Truck Driver - Casual - Mostly Local Deliveries
Padman Water Solutions is seeking a HC Truck Driver - Casual to join our transport and logistics team. This is a casual position based in Strathmerton, Victoria, primarily focused on local deliveries. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently, loading and transporting Padman's products to customers throughout the local region. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliable and timely service delivery to our valued clients.
What you'll be doing
Operating and driving heavy commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with all road transport regulations
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and roadworthiness
Delivering Padman's products to designated customer locations (Mostly local, some overnights required)
Loading, securing and unloading cargo in accordance with health and safety standards
Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation, including delivery dockets and logbooks
Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and team members to ensure smooth operations
Adhering to all traffic laws, company policies and occupational health and safety requirements
Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents or incidents promptly to management
What we're looking for
Valid Heavy Commercial (HC) driver's licence with a clean driving record
Current Truck Mounted Crane or equivalent accreditation (Preferred)
Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
Proven experience driving heavy commercial vehicles in delivery roles
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and heavy vehicle compliance standards
Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
Physical capability to load, unload and secure cargo safely
Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Reliability and punctuality, with the flexibility to work casual hours as required
Familiarity with local delivery routes in the Strathmerton area is advantageous
