We’re looking for a safety-focused Maintainer to join our team at the Adelaide Freight Terminal. Rail experience isn’t essential — if you’re mechanically minded and keen to learn, we want you!
About the Role
As a Maintainer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our wagons safe, reliable and operational. Your tasks will include:
- Performing preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs on wagons
- Responding to breakdowns and assisting with recovery activities
- Carrying out heating, cutting and welding tasks
- Operating mobile plant, vehicles and lifting equipment
- Assisting with fabrication and component replacement
- Collaborating with planners, supervisors and operations teams
This is a physically active role requiring a strong focus on safety and the ability to work independently and in a team.
About You
- Heavy industry trade background (highly regarded but not essential)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Forklift/MR Licence (advantageous)
- Boilermaker, welding or fabrication experience (preferred)
- Comfortable using basic computer systems for reporting and documentation
