The predicted salary is between 58500 - 71500 $ per year.
As a Cook you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:
- Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with corporate menus, recipes and dietary requirements
- Ensure all meals meet IDDSI and texture-modified needs
- Follow safe food handling, hygiene and infection control standards
- Monitor and comply with Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental practices
We're looking for a person who has what it takes to support our aged care team to deliver exceptional services to our clients. You have:
- Excellent communication skills
- A warm and caring nature
- Friendly, kind and respectful towards elderly residents
- Commitment to provide high-quality dining experience for elderly residents
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Demonstrated previous cooking experience for aged care residents would be an advantage
- Demonstrated ability to prepare nutritious meals that meet the dietary and texture modification requirements of older people
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IDDSI
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong time management and organisational skills in a busy kitchen environment
- Flexible availability to cover annual leave, sick leave and ability to work morning, afternoon, and occasional weekend shifts
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach
- Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
- Hold a current Police Screening Certificate
- Current First Aid & CPR training Certificates
