Senior Accountant in Adelaide

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Partners, you will manage and service an established portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory services.

This is a varied role offering direct client engagement, technical exposure and the opportunity to work closely with senior practitioners in a professional and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs.
• Preparation of BAS, IAS, FBT and payroll tax returns.
• Providing taxation, compliance and business advisory services.
• Assisting clients with tax planning, business structuring and related advisory matters.
• Managing client relationships and liaising with the ATO, ASIC and other stakeholders.
• Managing workflow, deadlines and client deliverables.
• Working closely with the Partners on client matters and advisory engagements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring

• Minimum five years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
• Sound technical knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting standards.
• Demonstrated experience across a range of business structures and entity types.
• Well-developed communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB and XPM.
• The ability to manage multiple client engagements with a high degree of accountability.
