We are looking for a Local Representative/Technical Support based in Brisbane. This role reports into the Service and Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze service data to isolate common failure modes, localize faults causing repeat calls and create focused maintenance plans to improve the reliability of units in the service portfolio.
- Provide on-call technical support for field service mechanics.
- Review and evaluate spare parts problems in cooperation with other company departments to ensure the highest safety standards and optimum reliability of products in the service portfolio.
- Train and develop other field service mechanics.
- Resolve uncommon, technically complicated or high priority defects as required.
Principal Working Relationships
- Reports directly to the Field Engineering manager (QLD/NT/PNG).
- Seeks and accepts functional guidance from Head Office staff.
- Guides, advises and responds to Service employees on Field Engineering matters.
What you will need to be successful
- Tertiary education in a related field or adjusting experience with an electronic certificate or equivalent.
- Is a qualified Electrician with a valid Electrical license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Extensive experience in the elevator industry.
- Advanced knowledge of computer systems for functional hardware and software relevant to the role (Microsoft Office, specialized company-specific applications).
- Ability to fault diagnose to technicians remotely.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with and influence people at all levels.
- A proven ability to be able to pass on information and skills through formal and informal training.
