Oriem is a fast-growing company that supplies concrete steel reinforcement, accessories and tools to the concrete construction industry. Our branch in Milperra is looking for a Sales/Warehouse Assistant who is passionate about customer service and building strong relationships with our trade customers.
What can you expect in this role?
- Sales & Customer Service: Greeting customers at the trade counter, understanding their requirements, and recommending the right products and solutions.
- Order Processing: Quoting, processing sales orders, and handling phone, email and counter enquiries efficiently.
- Product Knowledge: Developing a strong understanding of our range of concrete reinforcement, accessories and tools to confidently advise customers.
- Relationship Building: Maintaining a professional, friendly presence that keeps customers coming back.
- Store Presentation: Keeping the trade counter and showroom tidy, well-stocked, and well-presented.
- Teamwork: Supporting the branch team, embracing Oriem's values, policies, and procedures, and pitching in with all aspects of branch duties required.
- Warehousing Duties: Packing orders, receiving incoming goods, Tipper (delivery) driving, manual production/machine operating.
This is a true all-rounder position with genuine room to grow. You'll have the opportunity to build skills and take on responsibilities across sales, warehousing, production, and deliveries/driving, giving you exposure to the full end-to-end operation and a clear path to develop within the business.
Location: Milperra
Hours: Monday – Friday 6:30am – 4:30pm, Saturday 7:00am – 11:00am (rotating fortnightly)
Our ideal team member: You don't need industry experience, but to be physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment, a genuine passion for sales and customer service is essential, along with confidence, initiative, and a proactive attitude. You'll receive full on-the-job training in our products and systems. General computer skills are required to key orders and understand systems. A forklift license is an advantage but not essential. A driver's license is beneficial given the opportunity to assist with deliveries as your role grows.
