About the role
Cairns City Pharmacy is starting a new chapter, and we’re looking for a Retail Manager to help write it.
We’re rebuilding the pharmacy from the ground up, with new branding, a refreshed store, some new team members and some existing studds, and a lot of fresh energy. We’re also bringing in innovative tools and systems that make work easier for our team and better for our customers. This is a rare chance to come in at the start of a turnaround and put your stamp on what the pharmacy becomes.
We’re after someone motivated, enthusiastic and results-driven to lead the retail team, run day-to-day operations and grow the front of shop with us.

Key responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, supervise and train the retail team to a high standard
- Interview, hire and onboard new team members as we build the team
- Work towards and achieve set KPIs, including sales targets, customer service standards and operational performance
- Oversee the smooth running of front-of-shop operations
- Manage inventory, stock ordering, replenishment and stock control
- Bring the new look to life through attractive displays, promotions and store presentation
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Spot opportunities to increase sales, improve efficiency and help shape how we do things
- Organise staff rosters and ensure appropriate coverage
About you
Previous retail or management experience is preferred but not essential
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Ability to work towards and achieve KPIs
Customer-focused, with a positive and proactive attitude
Able to motivate, train and manage a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excited by change, open to new ideas and keen to learn
