Our client is an established business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of large-scale storage and racking solutions. Working across warehousing, logistics and commercial projects nationally, they are seeking an Inventory Controller to help maintain stock accuracy, improve inventory processes and support efficient day-to-day operations.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll take responsibility for inventory control across the warehouse, ensuring stock is accurately recorded, readily accessible and available to meet operational and project requirements.
Your responsibilities will include managing inbound stock and receipting imported goods, maintaining bin locations, processing stock transfers and supplier returns, and coordinating regular cycle counts. You’ll also contribute to forecasting and replenishment, helping ensure inventory levels are aligned with demand and upcoming project schedules.
Working closely with procurement, logistics and production, you’ll play an important role in maintaining inventory integrity and keeping stock moving efficiently through the business. You’ll also use ERP systems and Excel to support reporting, identify discrepancies and drive improvements in inventory processes.
About you
You’re a hands‑on, detail‑oriented inventory professional who understands the importance of accurate stock control in a warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environment. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in inventory control, stock management or a similar role.
- A sound understanding of stock movements, cycle counting and replenishment.
- Experience working with ERP systems, with NetSuite highly regarded.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with inventory data and reporting.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement and working across teams.
Experience in the storage and racking industry would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
