About the role
We have multiple vacancies for the role of Yardpersons in our Wingfield branch. Reporting to the Team Leader, your role will be to:
- Clean portable buildings, including portable toilet blocks using equipment and supplies provided.
- Complete basic repair & maintenance tasks on portable buildings, including toilet blocks; repair & seal flooring, replace trim, paint and patch walls, basic plumbing, replace doors & locks etc.
- Securely pack furniture & accessories in portable buildings for transport including tables, chairs, desks, fridges, microwaves etc.
- Undertake general housekeeping and yard duties to ensure a safe, clean and well-organised work environment.
- Assist qualified trades with portable building refurbishments and upgrades where necessary.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with relevant transferable skills, a positive attitude and capacity for hands-on, physical work. Our ideal candidates will have:
- Current driver's licence & reliable transport.
- Handyman experience, including use of power tools (desirable).
- Relevant cleaning or labouring experience.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
- A positive attitude & high regard for workplace safety.
