Our ambition is to create more than a gym, but rather an ecosystem of premium lifestyle brands that Inspire Change for our members and our staff. We do this through changing the gym environment and experience through beautifully curated spaces, quality coaching, experiential classes, premium wellness and community connection.

The role of Education Manager is to own the learning experience of every learner at One Playground, from Coaches growing through our internal programs to students starting a new career through OneCoach Academy. Working alongside our Head of Education, you’ll set the standards, systems and policies that shape every learner’s journey. You’ll lead our Student Success Specialist and club Development Coordinators, and raise the bar for every educator across our campuses and clubs.

This isn’t a role for someone who wants to run a timetable. It’s for an education leader who knows what it takes to scale quality education without ever compromising on the experience. If you love education, get a buzz from seeing people grow, and want to help build Australia's best practical fitness and wellness education provider, this is your next move.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Education Programs & Delivery: Own the full portfolio of education, from Coach Induction, the Elevated Coach Program and the Emerging Leader Program, to Certificate III and IV in Fitness, the Industry Ready Program and short courses. Build one education calendar across every program, campus and club - and keep it running like clockwork. Set the standards and structure for every program so learners get the same premium experience wherever they learn.
  • Learner Onboarding & Placement: Pick up every confirmed enrolment from our Sales Specialist and make sure each learner starts fully set up and ready to learn. Design inductions that set clear expectations from day one, for Academy students and Coaches alike. Match learners to quality practical placements, internships and mentoring inside our clubs, and set placement hosts up for success.
  • Learner Progress & Completion: Set the attendance, engagement and progress standards across every program, and track every cohort weekly. Spot at-risk learners early and step in with the right support before they fall behind. Oversee assessment and moderation across all programs, working with our RTO partner to keep students moving toward certification.
  • Learner Support & Experience: Lead our Student Success Specialist and set the standard for proactive, human learner support. Own the support policies, and be the go‑to for complaints, appeals and escalations - resolved fairly and fast. Gather learner feedback at every key milestone and turn it into a better experience.
  • Curriculum, Quality & Compliance: Build and evolve the policies and procedures that keep education high-quality and compliant. Own the learning resource library, keeping every manual and resource current, accurate and version-controlled. Manage our RTO partner relationship and AUSactive recognition, and lead validation, moderation and audits.
  • Reporting, Systems & Education Operations: Own education reporting across every program, translating learner, educator and program data into clear insight for leadership. Own our student management system and LMS, and make sure systems and processes run the same way everywhere. Manage the education budget and build the operating rhythms that keep everything on track.

ABOUT YOU

To excel in this role: You believe education changes lives and careers, and you want to build something that lasts. You care about the details and have been described as having high standards. You're a systems thinker who can see the whole learner journey and fix what slows it down. You lead with clarity and warmth, and love developing the people around you. You're comfortable moving between strategy and being hands‑on in the room. You have a genuine love of health, fitness and wellness.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Not all experience is created equal. But the successful candidate would have a track record of managing education programs, leading educators and building the systems that let quality education scale. You may have come from vocational, tertiary, corporate learning or fitness education, and are ready to take that experience into a fast‑growing, premium brand. A bachelor degree or higher in education, exercise or sport science, business or a related field. At least 2 years' relevant experience, including education coordination or management in a vocational, tertiary, corporate learning or fitness education setting. TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain). Working knowledge of the VET sector and the Standards for RTOs. Demonstrated experience leading educators or a learner support team. Experience managing learning and development programs and a learning management system across a multi‑site workforce.

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU:

  • Build Something Big. Shape the education behind Australia's best practical fitness and wellness education provider, as the Academy grows across new campuses and programs.
  • Rapid Growth. Work alongside our Head of Education in a high-growth business where your impact is visible from day one.
  • Work with Great Humans. Join a business with a Senior Leadership team averaging 8 years' tenure, and a team obsessed with mastering the craft.
  • World-Class Facilities. Teach and lead in some of the best fitness and wellness spaces in the country.
  • The Benefits. Work from our loft style office in Surry Hills, get free gym membership across every One Playground location, plus a host of team benefits including socials, sports and partner discounts.
  • The World's Best Industry. Work in an industry that makes people happier, healthier, live longer and values human connection.

Application closes on 19th November.
