Skilled Nursing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Midwife for an exciting short-term contract opportunity in the Mackay Region, Queensland. In this role, you will be supporting a regional hospital within their Maternity and Obstetrics department. The contract period runs specifically from 21.12.2026 to 10.01.2027. You will work alongside a supportive multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns during a vital holiday period.
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following mandatory experience requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in women’s health nursing or midwifery
- Demonstrated labour ward and birth suite experience is essential
- Current registration and appropriate credentials to practice as a midwife in Australia
