Ocean Shores Country Club – Ocean Shores NSW
Ocean Shores Country Club is seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Turf Greenkeeper to join our Course Maintenance Team.
This is a hands‐on role with real variety across our 18-hole golf course, bowling greens and landscaped grounds, with a particular focus on the maintenance and presentation of our bowling greens and surrounds.
You'll work closely with the Course Superintendent and Assistant Course Superintendent and play an important role within the broader course team.
Key responsibilities
- Maintaining and preparing bowling greens for social, competition and tournament play
- Golf course maintenance across greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers
- Turf renovation and cultural programs
- Irrigation operation and maintenance
- Chemical and fertiliser applications
- Machinery operation and routine maintenance
- Course and green setup for competitions and events
- Contributing to course improvement projects
- Providing practical guidance to apprentices and junior staff
- Maintaining high presentation, safety and turf-care standards
About you
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
- Recognised chemical-use accreditation
- Solid practical turf-management experience
- Experience operating turf-maintenance machinery
- Good knowledge of irrigation, fertiliser and chemical applications
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Full working rights in Australia
- Experience maintaining bowling greens, golf courses or other sports-turf facilities will be highly regarded
