Warehouse Floor Manager (Live Events) in Sydney

Sydney Full-Time On-site
N

Are you a hands-on warehouse leader who knows how to keep a busy operation organised, safe and ready to deliver?

NW Group is one of Australasia’s leading suppliers of full-service live event production. Our Sydney team supports a wide range of corporate, entertainment and venue events, and we’re looking for a Warehouse Floor Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation.

About the role

You’ll own the floor space: lead the warehouse crew, keep equipment and workflows organised, and make sure gear is ready to move when our events need it.

Live events have changing demands throughout the year. You’ll develop a practical seven-day roster for a dedicated warehouse crew, matching coverage to event schedules and peak periods, then scaling the roster to suit quieter months. You’ll work closely with operations, crew and logistics teams to keep equipment moving smoothly from warehouse to event and back again.

Key responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the daily work of the Sydney warehouse team.

Develop and manage a seven-day roster that provides the right crew coverage for event schedules and peak periods.

Adjust staffing levels and workflows to suit seasonal demand and quieter months.

Coordinate receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, returns and equipment checks.

Maintain accurate equipment locations and inventory records.

Keep the warehouse floor organised, efficient and safe.

Ensure equipment is prepared, labelled and ready for collection or delivery.

Coordinate transfers, vehicle loading and deliveries with operations and logistics teams.

Set clear priorities, coach team members and support a positive, accountable workplace.

Identify ways to improve warehouse processes, turnaround times and equipment care.

Promote safe work practices, including toolbox talks and the correct use of equipment.

About you

You’re an organised, practical leader who can keep a team focused when priorities change. You’re comfortable planning ahead, communicating clearly and getting involved on the floor when needed.

You’ll also bring:

Previous experience leading a warehouse, stores or logistics team.

A current LF forklift licence and confidence operating a forklift safely.

Experience coordinating staff rosters to meet changing workload demands.

Good organisational and communication skills.

Confidence using inventory, warehouse or job management systems.

A strong focus on safety, equipment care and accurate processes.

The ability to work flexibly around event schedules, including occasional weekends or early starts.

Experience in live events, audio-visual production, entertainment or equipment hire would be an advantage.

You’ll join a supportive team delivering events across a broad range of industries and venues. This is an opportunity to shape how our Sydney warehouse operates, develop the crew and make a direct contribution to successful event delivery.
