Experienced Stone Fabricator in Brisbane

NV Stone is seeking an Experienced Stone Fabricator to join our team in Slacks Creek, QLD. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our stone fabrication operations. As a Stone Fabricator, you will be responsible for transforming raw stone materials into precision-finished products that meet our clients' specifications and quality standards. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the building trades industry and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality stone products to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

• Operating and maintaining stone cutting and polishing equipment to fabricate stone materials according to design specifications and measurements.
• Measuring, marking and cutting stone materials with precision using various hand tools and machinery.
• Polishing, grinding and finishing stone surfaces to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional outcomes.
• Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and client requirements before dispatch.
• Preparing stone materials for installation, including edge finishing and hole drilling.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all health and safety protocols and procedures.
• Keeping accurate records of materials used and products completed.
• Collaborating with the team to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance when required.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Stone Fabricator or similar role within the stone or building trades industry.
• Strong proficiency in operating stone cutting, polishing and finishing machinery.
• Solid understanding of stone types, properties and appropriate fabrication techniques for different materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finished products.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to stone fabrication and workshop environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical capability to perform manual labour and operate heavy machinery.
• A valid driver's Manual licence is preferred.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in stone fabrication or machinery operation are advantageous.
• White Card.
