Crew Leader–Painting & Decorating + Company Vehicle, Fuel Card, Phone Full-time
This is a hands-on leadership role with Nu-Vision Painting Service. You'll lead Painters and Apprentices on assigned projects across Perth, organise daily workflow, maintain quality standards and take ownership of getting your assigned projects completed properly and efficiently. You'll still work on the tools while also leading your crew. You'll work closely with the Operations Manager, giving you support with scheduling, resources and operational issues while you focus on leading the crew and delivering the job on site.
Key responsibilities
Lead and coordinate Painters and Apprentices on assigned projects
Organise daily site activities and allocate tasks across the crew
Review job scopes, specifications, paint schedules and project requirements
Carry out high-quality preparation and painting work
Monitor workmanship and maintain quality standards throughout each project
Keep projects progressing efficiently against allocated labour hours and schedules
Identify defects, additional work, potential variations and project issues early
Communicate professionally with customers while on site
Maintain accurate job photos, notes and checklists using the job management system
Ensure safe work practices, PPE and site requirements are followed
About you
Has strong professional painting and decorating experience
Holds a Certificate III in Painting & Decorating or has equivalent trade experience
Has experience leading, supervising or directing painters or apprentices
Has excellent preparation and finishing standards
Understands paint systems, substrates and correct application methods
Can organise a job and keep a crew productive
Takes ownership and can confidently manage normal day-to-day site issues
Has strong communication and customer-service skills
Has high attention to detail and takes pride in their work
Holds a current manual WA driver's licence
$40–$43 per hour, depending on experience
