You’ve built a healthcare sales pipeline before. Now build one that’s yours.

NU Nursing is a growing Sydney-based nursing agency supplying AINs, ENs and RNs to private hospitals, aged care facilities and NDIS participants across NSW and Victoria. We’ve grown on the strength of our nurses and our client relationships, and we’re now entering our next stage of growth. To lead it, we’re creating a newly created Business Development Manager & Partnerships role — and we want an experienced professional to shape it from day one.

This role suits an experienced healthcare BDM who can work independently, understands how agency staffing is bought in hospitals and aged care, and knows how NDIS referral pathways work. You’ll bring a proven track record and, ideally, an established professional network.

THE ROLE

You’ll own growth across three segments:

  • Hospitals — expand our network with private and public hospitals, from nurse unit managers to workforce and procurement teams.
  • Aged care — grow our presence with residential aged care providers, building relationships with DONs, facility managers and regional operations leads.
  • NDIS — develop referral partnerships with support coordinators, plan managers, allied health professionals and hospital discharge teams to grow our high-intensity nursing supports.

Day to day, you will:

  • Identify, pursue and close new accounts, and grow the ones we already have.
  • Lead business development activity, including pipeline management, CRM and performance reporting.
  • Prepare proposals, tenders and capability statements.
  • Negotiate commercially sound service agreements and rates.
  • Represent NU Nursing at industry events, networking forums and client meetings.
  • Work closely with our rostering and clinical teams so that what you sell, we deliver.
  • Report directly to the Director, with real input into the agency’s direction.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3–5+ years in business development or account management in a nursing agency, healthcare staffing, aged care or disability services.
  • A proven record of winning and growing B2B healthcare accounts — and you can show us the numbers.
  • Current relationships across hospitals, aged care and/or the NDIS sector in NSW (Victoria a bonus).
  • Solid knowledge of the NDIS: the framework, pricing arrangements, participant journey and how referrals flow.
  • Understanding of how agency nursing is bought: fill rates, cancellations, preferred supplier panels and the pressures facilities face.
  • The confidence to work autonomously and establish effective business development processes in a growing organisation.
  • A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Highly regarded

  • A clinical background (RN or EN) combined with sales experience.
  • Experience with tenders or preferred supplier arrangements in health or aged care.
  • Experience setting up a BD function in a small or growing business.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

  • $105k–$120k base + superannuation, plus performance incentives tied to the accounts you win and grow.
  • Hybrid working — a balance of time in the field with clients, at our Kingswood office and working from home.
  • Be part of a growing organisation — join at a pivotal stage and grow with us as we expand across hospitals, aged care and NDIS in NSW and Victoria.
  • Real ownership — help shape our business development approach, with clear ownership and direct access to leadership.
  • Direct access to leadership — a small, close-knit team where ideas are heard and decisions happen quickly.
  • Purposeful work — every partnership you build puts skilled nurses where they’re needed most.

If you have a track record of winning healthcare business and building lasting partnerships, we’d like to hear from you.
