NTT Data are seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect to help shape the future direction of a significant forecasting and analytics platform for an enterprise client based in Perth CBD. Initial contract through to end of June 2027 ASAP start Hybrid working arrangements - 4 days per week onsite.
This role will focus on maturing the architecture, documentation and roadmap for an established data and analytics investment. You'll assess the current state, consolidate existing artefacts, identify capability and documentation gaps, and develop a clear architectural roadmap that supports future investment and delivery decisions. This is not a hands-on development, data engineering or machine learning position. We're looking for someone with a strong data architecture background and a broad understanding of modern data platforms, particularly how the various components of the ecosystem work together. The ideal candidate will bring expertise across architecture, platforms, integrations and governance, rather than deep specialisation in a single area.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and consolidate existing solution architecture artefacts across a complex forecasting and analytics platform.
- Define and document current-state and target-state architecture, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives.
- Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, capability models and platform roadmaps that support future investment and delivery decisions.
- Improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of architecture and platform documentation.
- Identify capability, architecture and governance gaps, providing recommendations to improve platform maturity.
- Clearly document platform functionality, dependencies, integration patterns and technical constraints.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to provide architectural guidance and support strategic decision making.
- Contribute to release planning activities by introducing greater structure, governance and architectural rigor around future platform enhancements.
About You
You are a well-rounded Data Solution Architect with experience operating across enterprise scale data and analytics environments. You enjoy bringing clarity to complex platforms, creating quality architecture artefacts, and translating technical concepts into practical roadmaps and delivery outcomes. You'll bring:
- Proven experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture or Data Platform Architecture roles.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud-based data and analytics platforms.
- Strong experience with Snowflake, Databricks, data pipelines and integration architectures and Python (architectural understanding beneficial; hands-on coding not required).
- A broad understanding of how enterprise data platforms are designed, integrated and governed.
- Experience developing architecture roadmaps, capability models and solution artefacts.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and documentation skills.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery outcomes.
