Wentworth Public School is a warm and welcoming school located where the Murray and Darling Rivers meet, in the beautiful Sunraysia region of Far West NSW. We pride ourselves on providing quality instruction to students of all backgrounds and actively seek to build strong, positive relationships with our students, their families, and the wider community.
Our school sits on the traditional land of the Barkindji people, and we seek to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of all families in our community. In 2026, we have 109 students across five mainstream and one support (MC) class. Around 38% of our students identify as Aboriginal, and teachers are supported daily by dedicated School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs).
Wentworth is just a short 25-minute drive from Mildura (population 50,000), a vibrant regional city in Victoria that enriches our community with additional job opportunities, sports, and health services. We enjoy great partnerships with nearby schools in the Sunraysia area and in the Far West Network, and work closely with our local preschools to ensure a smooth start for every young learner. Our staff team is a wonderful mix of new and experienced educators, both permanent and temporary, who benefit from ongoing professional learning opportunities, helping them bring their best to the classroom year after year.
