Health Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Sustainability Officer to join its Sustainability Team to help embed strong and consistent sustainability practice across the planning, design and delivery of health infrastructure projects throughout NSW.
You will provide specialist, evidence-based advice to project teams; facilitate the application of Green Star and other sustainability requirements; identify emerging risks and opportunities; and translate evolving policy, legislation and industry practice into practical project responses.
Working across a diverse capital portfolio, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, develop guidance and capability-building resources, and use sustainability data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to influence project decisions and strengthen sustainability practice across an organisation delivering infrastructure with lasting benefits for NSW communities.
This is a full-time ongoing role. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate. Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.
You are an experienced sustainability professional who combines technical understanding with sound judgement and practical delivery skills. You can analyse complex information, identify what matters for a project and communicate clear, evidence-based recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You are comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities, building productive relationships and influencing outcomes where sustainability considerations need to be balanced with scope, cost, program and operational requirements. Experience applying Green Star or comparable sustainability rating tools in infrastructure or the built environment will be highly regarded.
If you are passionate about sustainability and enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, this is the role for you.
