About the role:
As a Registered Nurse - Renal, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients requiring renal services in an acute care environment. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will support patients throughout their treatment journey while ensuring care is delivered in accordance with professional standards, clinical guidelines, and organisational values.
Forbes Hospital has a capacity of 27 beds and 2 birthing rooms. Of the 27 beds, three are maternity beds and two are high observation beds. The Emergency department has five beds and one Resus Bay.
- 24-hour emergency care
- Acute and subacute inpatient services including medical, maternity, rehabilitation and palliative care
- Renal Dialysis - 8 chairs
- Minor surgical plus D.O. surgery including endoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, gynaecology surgery, obstetrics, ophthalmology, colonoscopy and gastroscopy and after hour's emergency surgery cover
- Hospital in the Home
- Diagnostic services including CT scanner, ultrasound, x-ray and pathology
- Outpatient services including infusion clinics
- A range of primary and community health care and outreach services are provided to the surrounding villages
