Why This Role Matters
Mental health support in chronic and complex care isn't optional; it's essential. In this role, you'll help people manage the psychological impact of life-changing diagnoses and conditions. You'll provide practical, meaningful therapy that truly changes lives, whether in clinics, homes, or community programs. Your work supports not only your clients, but their families, their independence, and their ability to stay well and connected in the community.
About the Role
You'll be part of our Community Allied Health team, providing evidence-based psychological care to clients with chronic illness, progressive conditions, neurological disorders, or age-related health needs. Services include:
- One‐on‐one therapy sessions (in home or clinic).
- Group programs in community health centres.
- Collaborative care planning with allied health and medical colleagues.
You'll also have the chance to participate in research and quality improvement projects, supported by a strong clinical leadership framework.
About You
You're a passionate Clinical Psychologist who:
- Holds full registration with AHPRA (Clinical Psychologist endorsement preferred) or is undertaking an APAC accredited program in clinical psychology with either provisional or general registration as a psychologist.
- Values accessible, community‐based mental health care.
- Has experience (or interest) in supporting people with complex health conditions.
- Thrives in a team environment but works autonomously with confidence.
- Brings warmth, professionalism, and purpose to your work.
- May be looking for flexible, short‐term work that aligns with other commitments.
Applicants must have current work rights in Australia or be a permanent resident or citizen. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applicants who do not meet this requirement.

This role is based across various sites in the Central Coast Local Health District, including clinics, community centres, and client homes. You'll join a values‐led organisation with a strong reputation for innovation, team culture and delivering Trusted Care. Better Health for Everyone.
This is more than a contract. It's your opportunity to explore a new way of working with support, flexibility and purpose.
Work‐Life Balance: Enjoy an accrued day off each month, 17.5% annual leave loading, and paid parental leave.
Financial Benefits: Boost your take‐home pay with salary packaging, save on car costs with novated leasing, and access relocation assistance.
