Be part of a $200M Tonkin Highway Grade Separations Project. Upgrading Tonkin Highway between Hale Road and Welshpool Road East. The project includes widening the highway to six lanes, new bridges and underpasses, grade-separated interchanges, and service relocations. This is complex, staged civil construction on a live highway, and it makes a real difference to how Perth moves.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, analysing planning and scheduling data, and providing clear reporting on project performance. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and clients to coordinate detailed programs and support the successful delivery of projects. If you're an experienced engineer or a planner who understands the works, enjoys being in delivery, and takes pride in seeing milestones achieved, this is a role where you'll have genuine influence and be recognised for it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and update detailed construction programs using Primavera P6 and TILOS, built from first principles with the delivery team.
  • Working through methodology, staging, traffic management and constraints with engineers and supervisors to create schedules that work on the ground.
  • Walking the job and tracking real progress against approved programs and baselines.
  • Analysing trends to spot risks and opportunities early, and bringing clear recovery and improvement options to the table.
  • Running planning meetings, lookaheads and progress reviews that keep the team aligned and focused.
  • Maintain project controls, dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Reviewing drawings, contracts and scope, and providing cause-and-effect analysis to support time-related claims.
  • Provide cause-and-effect analysis to support delay and disruption claims.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Lead planning meetings and project progress reviews.
  • Mentoring engineers and planners and helping lift planning capability and consistency across the project.
  • Contributing ideas to continuously improve how we plan, schedule and control our projects.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Solid planning experience or delivery experience on civil construction or infrastructure projects, ideally roads, bridges or interchanges.
  • A strong grasp of how civil works are built, including construction methods, sequencing, drawings, contracts and site processes, ideally gained through time on site or in a delivery role.
  • Sharp analytical skills and the ability to turn data into practical recommendations.
  • A strong safety-focused approach to project delivery.
