Northside 4x4 is looking for a qualified Light Vehicle mechanic to work in our Automotive Workshop. The position is for an Immediate Start and is a Full-Time Position. If you are looking for a job that provides a variety of work rather than just standard servicing, then this could be the job for you! No two days are the same. Northside 4x4 services and repairs primarily 4x4 diesel vehicles. We still work on cars, but the majority of work is in the 4x4 market. We are a Fulcrum Suspension Dealer, so you will need a good understanding of suspensions or be willing to learn. Knowledge and experience with Diesel engines are a must.
About you:
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Provide appropriate direction to Trades Assistant and apprentice where appropriate
- Passionate about your career
- Be fully qualified for the role with at least 5 years experience
- Be open and willing to learn
Your Skills:
- Fully qualified automotive technician
- Advanced repairs to include cylinder heads and timing chains/belts, clutch and brakes
- Diesel Fuel injection system removal and installation
- Diesel experience - Must have this requirement
- Competent with advanced diagnostics computers
- Diagnostics experience and competency being able to interpret and repair faults
- Tyre fitting and wheel balancing highly desirable
- Wheel alignments
- Accessory fitting and basic electrical experience including fitments such as spotlights, UHF radios, brake controllers, winches etc.
- Be able to maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment
