Love teaching but ready for more leadership, ownership and impact?

At Majura Early Learning Centre, we’re looking for an inspiring Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) and Preschool Team Leader to lead our Preschool room and help shape an exceptional learning experience for children, families and educators.

This is more than a teaching role. It’s an opportunity to take ownership of your room, lead and mentor a passionate team, influence educational practice, and create a preschool environment where children thrive through play, curiosity, belonging and meaningful learning.

If you're an experienced ECT who loves working alongside children but is ready to step into a leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As our Preschool Team Leader, you will lead both the educational and day-to-day operation of the Preschool room.

You will:

  • Lead a high-quality preschool program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Create engaging learning experiences that reflect children's interests, strengths and ideas
  • Support children's confidence, independence and successful transition to school
  • Lead, mentor and support a team of educators
  • Foster strong partnerships with children, families and the wider community
  • Drive reflective practice, curriculum planning, documentation and continuous improvement
  • Work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team
  • Promote a strong culture of child safety, inclusion and belonging
  • Help create a Preschool room that children, families and educators are proud to be part of

About You

We're seeking someone who leads through relationships, collaboration and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

You will bring:

  • An approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (or qualification/working toward status that meets regulatory requirements)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
  • Experience leading curriculum and pedagogical practice
  • The ability to mentor, coach and inspire educators
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine commitment to child safety, children's rights and inclusive practice
  • Strong organisational and leadership capabilities
  • Creativity, initiative and a positive approach to continuous improvement

Most importantly, you see children as capable, competent learners and understand that high-quality preschool programs balance intentional teaching with the joy of play, exploration and discovery.

Why Join Majura?

At Majura Early Learning Centre, your voice matters.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead your own Preschool program and learning environment
  • Make meaningful contributions to educational practice and continuous improvement
  • Be supported by a collaborative and experienced leadership team
  • Build strong relationships with families and the local community
  • Create lasting impact in the lives of children and educators

We're not just looking for someone to fill an ECT position.

We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership, bring fresh ideas, grow as a leader and help make our preschool program truly exceptional.

Commitment to Safety and Inclusion
