Where you'll be working: Northern Beaches Hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, a state-of-the-art theatre complex, world-class education centre, and excellent staff facilities including café and secure on-site car parking. About The Role: As our Clinical Support Officer, you’ll work closely with Nurse Unit Managers and colleagues across the hospital, providing reliable day-to-day administrative support and helping our teams stay organised and on track.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing a broad range of administrative support including data entry, reporting, invoicing, filing, mail management and telephone enquiries.
- Supporting meetings by coordinating rooms, preparing agendas and taking minutes.
- Responding professionally and helpfully to enquiries from staff, patients and families, and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Keeping managers informed of the progress of administrative tasks and identifying issues that may impact deadlines.

- Monitoring departmental IT and maintenance needs and reporting faults through the appropriate channels.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues while helping maintain an organised, welcoming and efficient environment.
- Participating in mandatory training, performance development and ongoing professional development.
About You: You’ll thrive in this role if you are someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and making things run smoothly behind the scenes. You will bring a friendly and professional approach, strong attention to detail and the ability to remain organised when priorities change. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy hospital environment, managing competing demands and working to deadlines while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who understands that great administration is about more than completing tasks. It’s about supporting people, communicating well and being a dependable part of the team.
The challenge, and the opportunity: Healthcare is fast-paced, and this role is no exception. You’ll balance competing priorities, negotiate realistic timeframes with Nurse Unit Managers and manage deadlines across a complex hospital environment. For the right person, that variety is also what makes the role rewarding. Your contribution will help our clinical teams focus on what they do best, knowing they have capable and reliable administrative support behind them.
