Casual | $38–$40 per hour plus super
This is a casual role with regular work and the potential to move to full-time for the right person. We provide the ute, trailer and tools for the employee role. We’re also open to discussing subcontractor arrangements with experienced fencing team leaders who have their own setup.
Northern Rivers Fencing is looking for an experienced team leader to run fencing installations across the Northern Rivers. We’re an established local business working on residential and commercial fencing, gates and automatic gates. We need someone who can take a job from the plans and scope through to a clean, finished installation while leading the crew on site.
What you’ll do:
- Set out fence lines and check levels, boundaries and site conditions
- Lead the installation of Colorbond, timber, aluminium, pool, modular wall, chainwire and security fencing, along with automatic & manual gates
- Organise the crew, materials and equipment to keep jobs moving
- Read plans and job scopes, and raise any issues before making changes
- Check the quality of the finished work and leave sites tidy
- Communicate clearly with customers and our office team
What we’re looking for:
- Solid hands-on experience installing fencing, including the ability to lead a crew
- Confidence setting out and completing jobs with minimal supervision
- A good eye for levels, alignment and finish
- The ability to solve practical site problems and know when to ask for a decision
- A current driver’s licence and construction White Card
You don’t need experience with every fence type we install. Tell us what you know well and what sorts of jobs you’ve led.
We expect regular work across the Northern Rivers, with full time hours depending on the job schedule and weather.
