Join a Growing Stone Fabrication Business
NKR Designer Stone is seeking an experienced and motivated Stonemason Estimator to join our team at Eastern Creek.
We are an established stone fabrication business specialising in the fabrication and installation of stone benchtops for residential and commercial projects. We are looking for someone with strong industry knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately estimate and price jobs from initial enquiry through to production.

About the Role
Working closely with our management, sales and production teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for stone fabrication and installation projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing architectural drawings, plans and specifications to prepare accurate quotations.
- Preparing detailed estimates for stone benchtops, splashbacks, vanities, islands and other stone applications.
- Calculating material quantities, slab requirements, wastage and cutting allowances.
- Estimating labour, fabrication, installation and associated project costs.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain material pricing and availability.
- Preparing customer quotations and following up on outstanding estimates.
- Identifying potential project issues, variations and additional costs.
- Liaising with clients, builders, suppliers and internal departments.
- Working closely with production and scheduling teams to ensure estimates are practical and achievable.
- Maintaining accurate estimating records and ensuring quotations are completed within required timeframes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Strong understanding of stone fabrication and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction plans.
- Knowledge of stone materials, slab sizes, cutting requirements and fabrication methods.
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
- Experience preparing quotations, calculating material costs and estimating labour.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
