Carpenters – Residential & Commercial Construction

NK Developments is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our growing construction team, working across a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects throughout Townsville.

We are looking for reliable tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship, work effectively with other trades and can contribute to a productive and professional site environment.

We are looking for tradespeople who want consistent local work and are interested in becoming part of a reliable construction team delivering quality projects across Townsville.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry works including framing, fix-out, cladding, formwork and finishing

• Complete carpentry works across new builds, renovations and commercial construction

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications

• Accurately measure, cut, assemble and install building materials

• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, fixtures and structural components

• Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, subcontractors and other trades

• Identify and communicate defects, construction issues and material requirements

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and site presentation

• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules

• Follow NK Developments' WHS procedures and site-specific safety requirements

What We're Looking For

• Trade-qualified Carpenters

• Demonstrated residential and/or commercial construction experience

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and sequencing

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team

• Current Construction White Card

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Reliable transport

• Competent use of carpentry hand and power tools

• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship

• Reliable, punctual and safety focused

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Highly Regarded

• Experience across both residential and commercial construction

• New build and renovation experience

• Formwork experience

• External cladding experience

• Working at Heights training

• EWP or relevant High Risk Work Licence
