We're seeking a highly organised Program Coordinator for a 12-month fixed-term contract to support one of News Corp Australia's major transformational programs that will revolutionise how we create content across our newsrooms. Acting as a central coordinator partially within the new PMO/VMO, this role functions similarly to an "EA for the program" by driving governance, managing project documentation, and facilitating communication between technical and editorial workstreams.
This is a highly collaborative position where you will work closely with Project Sponsors, Project Managers, executives, and the editorial team to ensure alignment and successful delivery across business and technology-facing teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage alignment between various technical and editorial workstreams.
- Coordinate steering committees with executives and assist in developing professional presentations and corporate reporting dashboards.
- Assist the editorial team in working effectively with the wider business and key stakeholders.
- Maintain the central project repository and governance documentation, ensuring tools like Google Drive and Confluence are kept up to date.
- Serve as a central point of contact for project inquiries and help onboard new team members into the program.
- Monitor activities across different project streams to manage dependencies and maintain alignment to the overall schedule.
Who are you? You're a meticulous "people person" with an enthusiastic, collaborative personality who excels at cross-departmental coordination. You're an excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills, comfortable asking questions and following up with stakeholders at all levels. You're professional with strong project governance abilities and exceptional time management skills to balance multiple tasks without letting details slip. You're highly capable of creating and developing professional presentations, with proficiency in basic word processing and slide tools. You're an adaptable collaborator who presents well and is driven by organisation and coordination, rather than a senior technical or data analyst background. You're a naturally curious problem-solver who is comfortable tracking project health metrics, navigating project data, and liaising across business units.
