This is a part-time bookkeeping role that will expand into some telehealth coordination. You will work with the accounting team to manage financial records, and once familiar with the books, you will learn to coordinate telehealth Dermatology consultations across Australia. It is an interesting and diverse role requiring concise clear thinking.

Key responsibilities:

  • Day to day bookkeeping: accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support and BAS preparation
  • Keep financial records tidy enough that the accountant smiles
  • Learn and then help with all tasks of telehealth coordination: booking patients, managing files and communication, liaising with Doctors
  • General administration tasks that make the whole thing run

About you:

  • Bookkeeping experience, ideally with Xero (or a willingness to learn it quickly)
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Good communication skills, because you will speak with team members, business contacts, patients and Doctors, not just spreadsheets
  • Discretion, as you will handle confidential financial and health information
  • Curiosity, because the telehealth side will be new
  • Reliable internet, a quiet space for patient calls, and your own laptop (or we can sort that out, just ask)
  • A National Police Check will be required
  • Mondays and Tuesday availability is required at a minimum

About us:

Connect Group runs a few businesses across health, medical and recruitment. Teledermatologist is our telehealth service connecting patients with Dermatologists without the twelve-month waiting list and the three hour drive. It is genuinely useful work, and we are growing. Training in head office in Newcastle initially and then some in office work will only be required periodically; the majority of work will be from home. Part-time hours with some flexibility, built around school pick ups, study etc. Training in telehealth coordination, which is a genuinely useful skill in a growing industry. A small team that answers emails and does not make you fill in a form to ask a question.
