Company A is a well-established civil and drilling contractor delivering geotechnical investigation and civil works across New South Wales. The business operates a modern fleet of drilling equipment and specialises in high-quality, safety-focused site investigation services for a range of clients.
You will be responsible for the safe and productive operation of a Comacchio GEO 205 hydraulic crawler drilling rig on geotechnical and environmental investigation projects. Duties include:
- Mobilising and setting up the rig
- Carrying out a range of drilling methods (coring, augering, rotary open-hole, dynamic sampling)
- Conducting SPT and in-situ testing
- Collecting samples
- Completing accurate daily logs
- Performing pre-starts and basic maintenance
- Working closely with site supervisors, geologists and engineers
Work will involve both urban and restricted-access sites.
You:
- Proven experience as a Geotechnical Driller or multipurpose investigation driller
- Competent operating hydraulic crawler drill rigs (Comacchio GEO 205 or similar experience highly regarded)
- Sound knowledge of geotechnical drilling methods, sampling and in-situ testing (SPT etc.)
- Current White Card and relevant tickets/licences (First Aid, high-risk work licences preferred)
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and accurate record-keeping
- Reliable, practical and willing to travel to various project sites across NSW
