About The RoleAs a PHP and Laravel Developer, you will contribute hands‑on coding expertise while also helping guide the team’s technical direction. You will work with fellow developers to build, maintain and improve applications, bringing sound engineering practices and a thoughtful approach to development decisions. This position will suit someone who combines strong PHP and Laravel experience with an interest in team workflows, development processes and emerging tools. A good understanding of AI and its practical use in software development will be valuable as the team explores ways to incorporate AI into its work. You will be expected to collaborate, communicate clearly and help turn development priorities into well‑managed, maintainable outcomes. QualificationsWe are looking for a developer with strong, practical experience using PHP and Laravel, along with the technical judgement to contribute to both implementation and development planning. - Strong PHP development experience and a solid background working with Laravel.
- Good knowledge of MySQL, including its use in application development and data management.

BenefitsThis is a full‑time, permanent opportunity based in an office just outside central Newcastle. The advertised salary is £50,000–£65,000, depending on experience. The package also includes a pension and holiday allowance. You will join a small development team and have the opportunity to contribute not only through coding, but also by helping influence how the team approaches development and AI adoption.
