We're actively seeking a highly strategic and creative marketing manager with solid media buying experience to join our ANZ Marketing Team. As the media buying expert in the team, in addition to managing campaigns you will also work with our marketing team and media agency to develop best practices, connect paid social to our overall marketing strategy, explore and leverage key media partners, build learning agendas, and to scale campaigns and ideas.

Our ideal candidate is an analytical thinker, adept at leveraging data and insights to uncover the most impactful and engaging marketing strategies. It is expected that a successful candidate will be developing detailed media plans and guiding our agencies on operational specifics related to smooth campaign execution, so a knowledge of platform setup is required for the role.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead local film, series and brand campaigns, conceiving and delivering integrated 360 campaigns from audience and creative strategy through to media execution, including bespoke creative built for paid placements.
  • Manage and work with creative and media agencies to deliver campaigns.
  • Act as the primary liaison for our media agency to improve workflows for audience identification, planning and measure the performance of our campaigns, while identifying new ways of working and long-term opportunities to drive greater impact through our media planning and buying.
  • Directly execute, build, and optimise paid social campaigns in-platform across Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and X.
  • Build direct relationships with key stakeholders at digital platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, X) to unlock beta features, early access, and opportunities for scalable digital innovation.
  • Serve as the team's platform expert on paid social, advising cross-functional partners on audience targeting, platform capabilities, and format specs.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners across regional marketing, publicity, content and social.
  • Bring a culture-first lens to campaign ideas, in partnership with creative leadership and cross-functional partners like PR and Events, to develop concepts that spark cultural conversation.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 10+ years in media/paid social buying and planning, with deep expertise in biddable media, audience targeting, full-funnel strategy, and performance KPIs. Entertainment industry experience (TV, film, gaming, sport) a plus.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Meta, TikTok, and YouTube's ad management platforms, with fluency in channel-specific creative formats and paid social best practices.
  • Analytical and data-driven, comfortable making fast, confident decisions in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • An entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset - proactive, resourceful, and energized by ambiguity and data.
  • A genuine passion for TV, film, and storytelling, and curiosity about the broader Netflix business.
  • A collaborative leader and project manager who brings out the best in cross-functional partners.
  • Experience conceiving or shaping creative ideas for paid media, particularly culture-driven concepts, is a strong plus.
