About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Retail Operations Manager will lead retail performance, professional product sales and operational excellence across the national network.

This is a pivotal role where you'll develop national sales strategies, shape the retail operating model and build a consistent, commercially successful retail offering across all locations.

You’ll lead the Retail Operations team, drive product and professional trade sales, manage supplier partnerships and work closely with members and internal teams to maximise sales opportunities.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, commercially focused leader who enjoys combining big-picture strategy with day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead national retail operations: Oversee retail performance, operational standards, stock management, visual merchandising and shrinkage control.
• Drive commercial performance: Monitor sales, margins, inventory and trends, turning insights into actionable strategies.
• Develop the retail model: Build scalable retail processes and standards to support national expansion.
• Grow sales: Develop national retail strategies, promotions and incentives to increase retail and professional trade sales.
• Lead your team: Manage, coach, develop and roster the Retail Operations team across multiple locations.
• Support internal teams: Provide product knowledge and training to help Concierge and Member Experience teams identify sales opportunities.
• Build relationships: Support independent business owners and develop strong supplier and brand partnerships.
• Manage systems and reporting: Oversee inventory and sales through Shopify POS, ensuring effective stock control and reporting.
• Drive engagement: Coordinate product training, community education and retail activations with Marketing.

About You

You are an experienced retail leader with strong commercial acumen, a passion for people and the ability to bring structure, energy and accountability to a growing multi-site operation.

• 5+ years' retail management experience, preferably in a multi-site or national environment.
• Experience in beauty, hair, salon, wellness or lifestyle retail (highly regarded but not essential).
• Strong commercial skills, including analysing sales, margins, inventory and performance.
• Experience with retail POS and inventory management systems. Shopify highly regarded.
• Proven people leadership, coaching and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong organisation, time management and attention to detail.
• Good Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• The ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Brisbane and Melbourne.
