About The Role
Join the specialist agribusiness team of a Queensland-owned mid-tier firm, advising farming families and agribusinesses across beef, grain, cotton and horticulture. Based in Brisbane CBD with regular regional client contact. Ideal for someone from regional Queensland, or who splits their time between Brisbane and the bush and needs flexibility with work from home.
What You Will Be Doing
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for primary producers across companies, trusts and partnerships
- Applying primary production concessions including tax averaging and farm management deposits
- Assisting with succession planning, restructures and property transactions for farming families
- Preparing farm business analysis and reporting for clients and their financiers
- Building direct relationships with rural clients and visiting properties when needed
- Reviewing work of junior accountants and supporting their development
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years public practice experience in business services
- CA or CPA qualified or progressing (claw backs to current firm paid)
- Agribusiness or primary producer experience highly regarded, not essential
- A genuine interest in agriculture and regional Queensland
- Down to earth and comfortable building rapport with farmers and regional clients
5 weeks annual leave, plus a purchased leave scheme and paid parental leave
