The predicted salary is between 21.6 - 26.4 $ per hour.
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Driver to join our Packhouse Dispatch team.
Reporting to the Dispatch Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of our fresh produce.
Early morning shifts, typically 1:30am to 10:00am.
Rostered days across a Monday to Sunday week, so flexibility is required.
Cover other forklift areas of the business when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and machinery in a safe, efficient and competent manner
- Complete forklift pre-start checklist, logbook and key register before operation
- Load and unload trucks, containers and other transport vehicles with forklift
- Ensure all company procedures, policies, documentation and records are maintained and followed
- Receive and store stock according to requirements. Ensure all receivals are accounted for and are in good order
- Comply with all policies and procedures regarding dispatch operations to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility Laws
- Support your Manager to build a cohesive team that reflects Mulgowie Farming Company's values
- Report any maintenance requirements in your area to the appropriate person
- Ensure work area and equipment is safe and safe work practices are followed at all times
- Work as part of the Dispatch Team
About you
- Current Australian Forklift Licence (essential)
- Experience in forklift operations in the workplace
- Experience in warehousing / logistics highly regarded
- Confident using a handheld scanner
- Good counting and numeracy skills, with attention to detail
- Comfortable working in cold conditions
- Ability to maintain flexible work hours
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to communicate appropriately across cultures
- Reliable and punctual, and able to handle early starts
