The Opportunity We are currently partnering with a major Tier 1 construction contractor to appoint an experienced Design Manager for their Brisbane team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business delivering some of Queensland's most significant and complex construction projects.
About the Role As Design Manager, you will take responsibility for managing the design process across major projects, working closely with consultants, clients and project teams to ensure successful design coordination and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Lead design management from concept through to construction.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors.
- Manage design programmes, deliverables and approvals.
- Identify design risks, clashes and constructability issues.
- Work closely with Project Managers and construction teams.
- Manage design changes, technical issues and stakeholder requirements.
- Drive design coordination and ensure projects remain on programme.
About You We are looking for experienced Design Managers with a proven track record delivering large-scale construction projects.
Ideally, You Will Have
- Experience with a Tier 1 or leading Tier 2 contractor.
- Experience managing major projects valued at $100M+.
- Strong design coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- A background in hospital/healthcare, defence, government, infrastructure or other complex projects would be highly advantageous.
- Relevant construction, engineering or architectural qualifications.
