A leading Australian manufacturer with a rich legacy across the industrial, agricultural and retail sectors. Privately owned, with multiple manufacturing sites in Australia and warehousing and supply across every major state and New Zealand.
You’ll sit at the centre of a high-volume international logistics function, coordinating 1,000–2,000 containers a year across Asia, Europe and Australia. It’s a hands-on role with real ownership: you’ll keep shipments moving, keep the data right and keep suppliers, shipping lines, transport partners and internal teams aligned. You’ll report to the GM of Supply Chain APAC.
What you’ll do:
- Create and manage import voyages in D365, keeping shipment details, ETAs and documentation accurate.
- Track containers end to end, update ETAs and tell the business early when delays will affect stock.
- Manage arrival notices and EDOs, release containers to transport partners and process wharf payments and port charges.
- Receipt imported stock into the right warehouses in D365 and keep inventory aligned to purchase orders.
- Get weekly supplier quotes, raise purchase orders to agreed pricing and terms and reconcile freight, duty and supplier invoices.
- Be the key contact for overseas suppliers, shipping lines and transport providers, and complete monthly supplier evaluations.
- Work with warehouse, customer service, sales and finance on inbound schedules and priorities, and help improve import and receipting processes.
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years in supply chain, imports, logistics or freight coordination.
- Hands-on ERP experience (D365 is highly regarded).
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- A highly organised, detail-focused and commercially aware approach to your work.
- Confidence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused, can-do attitude.
Why this role:
- Real scope: you own the import chain from voyage set-up to receipting, not one step of it.
- Exposure to complex international logistics across Asia, Europe and Australia.
- Direct access to senior supply chain leadership, in a business that values structure, accountability and continuous improvement.
- A stable, well-established national operation.
