What You’ll Do
Commencing in January 2027 and reporting to the Head of Primary, the Deputy Head of Primary (Teaching and Learning/PYP Coordinator) supports the strategic and operational leadership of the Primary School, driving excellence in teaching and learning and fostering a high-performing culture.
As the Deputy Head of Primary (Teaching and Learning/PYP Coordinator), you will:
- Responsible for coordination of the Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Lead strategic initiatives that enhance student outcomes and school improvement.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Support and develop teachers through coaching and professional learning.
- Champion child safeguarding and promote a strong culture of care and belonging
- Contribute as a key member of the Primary Leadership Team.
What You Bring:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Excellent knowledge of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), including learning, assessment and reporting requirements.
- Ability to collect evidence and data to inform action and change.
- Proven ability to lead curriculum improvement and drive educational excellence.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with students, staff, and families.
- Strong organisational, strategic planning, and project management capabilities.
- Ability to lead change, foster collaboration, and build a positive team culture.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Advanced digital literacy and a commitment to innovative and student-centred learning.
