Saddle up Gunslingers, Moon Dog Wild West is coming to Geelong! We're beyond excited to be bringing our really bloody fun & unique brand of hospitality to beautiful Geelong, aiming to swing open the saloon doors in late November! We've taken over the old Geelong Hotel pub and are adding a mechanical bull and live music stage to really ramp up the fun! We will be offering the best in food, beverages and entertainment, with our signature cheeky twist.
We are looking for Casual Chefs to help sling our Tex-Mex, Americano & Pub classics to the masses! We’re seeking experienced chefs to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will bring your experience in fast-paced, large kitchens to make Moon Dog Geelong one of the best places to eat in the area! The ideal candidates will have proven experience in similar roles (Large, high-energy, pub-style venues) and take great pride in what they do.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Recent experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of pub-style cuisine
- Positive, friendly attitude
- Strong problem-solving and situational handling skills
- Strong knowledge of health and safety standards
- The ability to work late evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Full availability throughout December & January (No long holidays planned during this time, it's all hands on deck!)
We can offer you:
- 1-5 shifts per week, with more in summer if you want it. Weekend availability is a must!

We're looking to sling open the doors at the end of November, so the ideal start date for casual chefs is around the week of 16th November, but please let us know when you could start in your cover letter. This role is paid at Level 3 or 4 HIGA award, depending on qualifications.
