Captivate Events & Communications is looking for an Event Manager to deliver a portfolio of agency style events across Australia. Working as part of an award-winning event production team you will deliver medium to large-scale B2B events including summits, conferences, study tours and awards in a hybrid, live broadcast and in-person formats.

Role Description
Project manage the delivery of a portfolio of existing and new industry-orientated events (including summits, conferences, study tours and awards) across the end-to-end event lifecycle that meet budget and client/delegate expectations. You will work as a key part of a dedicated client portfolio team, working closely with the portfolio producer to manage and complete the execution of each assigned event.
Core responsibilities:
- Manage execution of event logistics and operations including the delegation of tasks to event coordinators
- Speaker and sponsor engagement and preparation (typically during execution phase)
- Venue and supplier sourcing, negotiation and contracting
- Coordinate staff (both internal and onsite staff) and resources for specific events
- Troubleshoot conflicts and issues as they arise
- Lead Event bump-in and bump-out
- Develop effective relationships with event stakeholders, suppliers and partners (both internal and external)
- Actively contribute and implement ideas and proposals to increase event impact, reach, efficiency of delivery and commercial results, as well as capturing feedback and improvements to measure event’s success
Qualifications
- At least 3 years experience managing event delivery
- Event Planning, Coordination, and Execution skills
- Strong Organisational and Time Management Abilities
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Attention to Detail and Problem-Solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with Events Air software is a plus
- Relevant degree or certification in Event Management or related field
