PROJECT MANAGER / DRAFTSPERSON – SUBCONTRACTOR BASIS
Modern Homes is seeking an experiencedProject Manager with drafting capabilitiesto work from our Bella Vista office on a subcontractor basis, supporting the delivery of custom designer homes.
Project management will form the majority of the role, with drafting and drawing amendments undertaken as required. This position suits someone with practical construction knowledge who can coordinate consultants, approvals, procurement and construction activities.
Key responsibilities
- Manage project coordination from design and approvals through construction and handover.
- Develop and monitor project programs, budgets, procurement and progress.
- Coordinate consultants, certifiers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage DA, CDC and CC documentation and approval requirements.
- Liaise with clients and site teams to resolve queries and keep projects progressing.
- Review drawings for accuracy, buildability and coordination.
- Prepare drawing amendments and construction details as required.
- Maintain project records, drawing revisions and track variations.
Requirements
- Proven project management experience with custom homes, duplexes or residential construction.
- Strong planning, organisation and communication skills.
- Practical understanding of residential construction and approval processes.
- Drafting proficiency in AutoCAD, Archicad or similar software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Current ABN and appropriate insurances.
- Relevant construction, project management or drafting qualifications highly regarded.
Engagement
- Office-based in Bella Vista, on a subcontractor basis. Rates and scope negotiable based on experience.
