MMP Projects is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee minor works and large construction projects from planning through to completion. Based in Derrimut, you will work closely with management, estimators, the service delivery team and trades to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required standard. We are looking for someone with strong construction knowledge, commercial awareness and the ability to take ownership of multiple projects while keeping clients and the team informed.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage projects from scope review and planning through to completion and handover.
- Develop and maintain schedules, coordinating trades, subcontractors, materials and site access.
- Manage budgets, procurement and project costs to achieve financial targets.
- Identify and manage variations, obtaining approval before additional works proceed.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor progress and workmanship, and resolve delivery issues.
- Maintain client relationships and provide clear progress updates.
- Ensure safety, quality, environmental and contractual requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate project records, costs and progress information in Simpro.
- Coordinate defects, completion documentation and final handover.
About you:
- Proven experience managing minor works and larger construction projects.
- Strong understanding of building methods, trade sequencing and site operations.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
- Experience managing budgets, subcontractors, procurement and variations.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.
- Current driver’s licence and Construction Induction White Card.
- A relevant trade, building, construction management or project management qualification will be highly regarded.
- Experience with Simpro and delivering projects in occupied or operational facilities would be an advantage.
