About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to take ownership of projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support, while building a leadership profile within a collaborative, technically strong team.
This position is responsible for:
- Lead project lifecycles from concept through to detailed design and construction support, ensuring outcomes are safe, cost-effective, and compliant
- Manage, maintain and grow trusted relationships with clients and project partners
- Contribute to technical excellence and innovation within the team
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Drive business development, fee proposals and project pipeline growth
Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will provide professional expertise, practical solutions and trusted support that helps our teams achieve outstanding outcomes. There's a genuine path to take on greater project and people leadership as our Queensland team continues to grow.
About You
You are a highly experienced engineer, proficient in major projects delivering high-quality engineering outcomes, along building client relationships and team development.
What you bring
To contribute confidently in this role, you will bring
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineering registration / Chartered status highly desirable
- 8+ years’ local structural design experience within the building sector
- Proven track record in project delivery and client‑facing roles
- Proficiency in design and analysis software including Inducta Suite (RCB, SLB, PTD), ETABS, RAPT, SpaceGass, RAM
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to develop project scope of works and proposals
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams
- Strong understanding of lateral stability design of large buildings, including earthquake requirements and wind loading
