We're looking for a Trade Assistant who is passionate about producing exceptional workmanship and takes pride in every project.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting tradespeople with fabrication, welding, and metalwork tasks under supervision.
- Preparing and organising tools, materials, and work areas to support trade activities.
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials according to specifications.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work stations.
- Moving and handling materials safely and efficiently.
- Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Supporting the completion of projects on time and to quality standards.
- Learning and developing trade skills through hands‐on experience and mentorship.
What we're looking for
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices and procedures.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude to work.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on direction from experienced tradespeople.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
