The role
Working directly with one of our partners, you will have ownership of commercial leasing work:
Run your own files end to end and be the day-to-day contact for clients, including substantial family offices, developers, shopping centre owners, and industry leading business groups, including in the retail, hospitality, childcare and aged care sectors
Advise on and draft leases, agreements for lease and related documents for landlords, tenants and developers
Act on retail, commercial, shopping centre and development matters
Negotiate with counterparties and elevate key issues to the partner
Supervise and mentor our junior lawyers
About you
4+ years’ PQE with substantial leasing experience (shopping centre or development work is an advantage)
Admitted in NSW with a current practising certificate
Strong drafting and careful contract review
Confident, commercial and comfortable owning client relationships
Good judgement on when to run with a matter and when to bring in a partner
