About the role
The role of Automotive Fitter will see you responsible for installing, connecting and testing a range of automotive accessories (both electrical and mechanical) on various commercial vehicles. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Highlight Bars, Beacons and Emergency Lighting
- Ancillary Lighting and Safety Equipment
- Radio – UHF/VHF, IVMS and GPS Systems
- Dual Battery Systems, Isolators and Inverters
- Manufacture Wiring Looms for 12V Installation
- Fitting Bull bars, Towbars, Suspensions and Toolboxes
- Assemble and fit Trays, Canopies and Service Bodies
- Installation of Roll over Protection Systems (ROPS)
- Dismantle, replace and assemble engineering components inclusive of identifying faults, replacing components and following SOP's
What you'll bring
- Valid Australian Working Rights
- 3+ years experience as a Trade Assistant, Automotive Electrician or Automotive Mechanic (Trade qualification advantageous)
- Reliable transport and current manual driver's license
- Previous experience in a Modification or Automotive Manufacturing role and/or environment (advantageous)
- Be reliable, punctual, well-presented and self-motivated
- A proven track record of reliability and initiative, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to work with a high level of productivity, efficiency and safety
