Intermediate Accountant
Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 + superannuation

You will work with large, complex clients, including groups with turnover above $100m, while receiving direct access to Partners, regular leadership check-ins, and ongoing training.

The Role
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will support a portfolio of large and complex clients across tax, accounting and business services work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts
- Preparing financial statements and detailed working papers
- Preparing BAS and state tax returns, including payroll tax and land tax where required
- Researching tax issues and assisting with draft advice for Managers and Partners
- Liaising with the ATO, OSR, clients and other professionals
- Supporting timely and accurate completion of client work
- Working with contemporary systems including MYOB AE, Xero and Excel
- Building your technical skills across complex structures and higher-value client groups
What You'll Bring
- Accounting degree from an Australian institution
- At least 3 years of experience in an Australian accounting firm
- CA or CPA completed or underway
- Strong understanding of accounting and taxation fundamentals
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for multiple entity types
- Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Motivation to keep developing technically and professionally
